From 1 May 2026, lettings to companies sit outside the new assured periodic tenancy rules that apply to most private tenancies in England.

Are company lets affected by the Renters' Rights Act?

The main tenancy changes that took effect on 1 May 2026 apply to assured tenancies. Lettings to companies are one of the exclusions, so they can still be granted as common law tenancies. Take independent legal advice on your own situation.

Who lives in the property?

Working people placed by us, such as contractors, professionals on assignment and key workers. We vet occupiers and remain responsible to you under the lease.

Does it need to be furnished?

Not always. Furnished homes suit shorter placements, but we also take unfurnished properties and can advise on what would improve the offer.
